FC Portland AcademyOpportunities for Players to Join the U15 Boys Team (8/25)

If your son decides during the High School Season that he wants to continue to play soccer after all, F.C. Portland Academy has one team (U15 Boys) that has openings on the roster.

The Head Coach is Dean Fowell (see bio) who has played professionally in England and who brings an excellent mixture of teaching and competitiveness to the training and game sessions.   In addition to the OPL games, the team will participate in the Northwest Champions League (NWCL) and the Western College Development Academy (WCDA) over the course of the season.

Dean welcomes your calls or emails about the openings on the squad and will gladly provide answers to your questions, as well as providing you with information about the schedule of informal observations and post High School season tryouts.  If you know the game schedule for your son, please have that information available, so that Dean can possibly attend games during the season.

To contact Dean, please call:  503.928.9416 or send an email to: fowell_8@hotmail.com.

Jr Academy Girls get Second place in Nike Mount Hood Cup.
The Jr Academy Girls came runners up in the Nike Mt Hood cup tournament. The girls really did show a lot of energy. They won all their games on the way to the final and were 5 minutes away from the championship. They conceded two late goals to lose 2-1 to Eastside Mad dogs who played a great game. The girls put on a great show and worked really hard as a team.

Jr Academy Boys win Nike Mount Hood Cup.

The Jr Academy boys won the Nike Mt Hood cup tournament. The boys really did show a lot of energy and combined with their skills, they managed a 1-0 win in the Final.

This was an amazing achievement because the BG Fire who they played in the Final, beat them 6-2 on the Friday. It just shows you what you can achieve with energy and intelligence.

Great job to all the boys in the Jr Academy.
