F.C. Portland Academy - Oregon Premier League

Little Strikers ProgramF.C. Portland Academy is pleased to announce and honored to be a founding member of the Oregon Premier League, a formal consortium of eight of the top competitive soccer programs within the Portland, Oregon region.

Additional founding member clubs include:
- Westside Metros
- Eastside
- Southside
- Lake Oswego
- Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club
- Portland City United
- Oregon Soccer Academy.

Together, these clubs have won 125 of 160 the most recent Oregon State Cup titles.

The League will be an extension of the OPL program that has been underway for our U10, U11 and U12 players for the past three years. It will now include teams from the U10 level through the U19 level.  All members of the OPL will be professionally associated and aligned with US Club Soccer, rather than with Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) and USYSA.

The mission of the OPL program is to bring the most competitive level of youth soccer, through the development of player programs designed by soccer professionals, into the State of Oregon.

With three years worth of extensive discussions among clubs, OYSA and US Club Soccer, the OPL group believes that delivery of the mission is possible and that the beneficiaries of this decision will be the players who wish to compete at the highest levels against top-level regional and national competition.

Details of this new association and our connections with it can be found on the OPL website: www.oregonpremierleague.com

Also, there will be an OPL presentation at Lake Oswego High School this coming Sunday, April 18th at 7:00pm and you are invited to attend.

FC Portland will be posting additional information on our web site early next week and we invite you to our site to review a more complete outline of the benefits for this new alignment.
