The FC Portland Junior Academy Program's goal is to focus on making the game fun for the kids while teaching them the fundamental (dribbling, passing, receiving) skills. We will introduce them to concepts and familiarize them with the game. Our end goal is to instill a passion for the beautiful game, so the kids are enjoying themselves, beginning to develop as players, and want to keep coming back because they love soccer.

“I played college soccer at VCU and graduated in 2016 with an Exercise Science degree. I continued playing after college in Europe up until last year, when I retired from playing professionally. I was lucky enough to win titles in Portugal and Scotland, which allowed me the opportunity to play in Champions League for Sporting CP as well as Glasgow City. Throughout my playing career, I also started coaching and am now fully committed to coaching and working in soccer full-time.
I’m really excited to get started with Junior Academy and create a fun and positive learning environment for the players.” Sharon currently coaches the girls 2014 & 2012 teams and works full time at the FC Portland office as the Club’s director of operations.
