Development Academy

Overview

The Development Academy (U11-U14) is for players in their key soccer development years that are looking to play at the highest level of club soccer in Oregon. Players are required to tryout at the beginning of each year and selected players will be placed into our pool system for each age. For U11 & U12 boys, this is the pathway into the ECNL Boys Program. The U13 & U14 boys not selected in the ECNL Pool will be placed in a Development Academy team for their age.

The Development Academy will focus on all components of the game: technical, tactical, psychological, & physical. The training sessions are geared towards maximizing the player’s growth & total development of every player with the understanding that this focus will result in successful teams. The Development Academy teams compete locally in Oregon leagues and cups. Teams will have the opportunity to travel out of state for tournaments.

Program Details

- 12 month program
- 2 practices per week

- 10-game OYSA Fall League
- 8-game OYSA Spring League

- Seattle Summer Tournaments (U12 - U14)
- Fall Travel tournament in October (U13 & U14)

- Winter Futsal (optional)
- State Cup, Presidents Cup or Founders Cup

- National League Northwest Conference (girls - U13 & U14)

- International Travel (U13 & U14)

Cost includes:
- State registration fees
- All league fees

- OYSA Cup competition fees 

- Club "player" Blueprint educational learning for Club methodology and style of play

- Player Evaluations (self evaluation & coaches evaluation)
- Training fees

- Coaches pay
- Field rental costs including; lights, facilities and equipment 
- Administrative services from a professional staff

Cost Does Not Include:
- Required uniforms & training gear

Team Accounts (paid via Team Treasurer):

Each team will have a team account that players will need to deposit money into.
These accounts will help each team cover the following cost:

- Tournament Entry Fees (summer / travel tournaments)
- Team, coach, and manager travel cost to games/ events past Salem

- Travel (flights/gas, food, hotel, rental cars, coach and manager cost, etc.)
